Case Study: Almondbury Liberal Club
Almondbury Liberal Club is one of Huddersfield's most well-established members' clubs, with a loyal following built up over decades. Until March 2026, their online presence amounted to a handful of business directory listings and a Facebook page. No website. No searchable events calendar. No easy way for someone who had heard about the club to find out what it was all about before walking through the door.
The Brief
Carol Wright approached us wanting something clear and straightforward: a professional website that would tell people what the club is, where it is, what's on, and how to get in touch.
The membership at Almondbury Liberal Club spans a wide age range, from long-standing older members to younger people discovering the club for the first time. That made accessibility a strong design priority, not just a legal checkbox as it often can be. A site that is awkward on a phone or uses small, hard-to-read text defeats the purpose entirely.
What We Built
We designed and built a bespoke site from scratch, focused on clear information hierarchy and ease of use across all devices and age groups.

- Events listings: a live platform for the club to publicise what is on and keep members informed throughout the year
- Contact and location details: prominently placed, with a tappable phone number on mobile
- About section: communicating the club's character and giving prospective members a genuine sense of what to expect

- Local SEO setup: so the club appears when people in Huddersfield search for social venues and local events
The design is welcoming and unfussy. It looks like a properly run club, because it is one.
The Result
